Hello from your new Director!

My name is Chari Bauman - pronounced Shuh-ree Bow-man. I grew up in neighboring Woodson County and have a B.S. in Elementary Education from Wichita State University and a Master's in Instructional Design & Technology from Emporia State University.I taught 3rd grade in Yates Center for 4 years - shout out to all of the educators out there. You rock!

After that, I began work at Woodson County Chamber of Commerce, serving as Executive Director and Director of Media & Tourism during my 3+ years with the organization, as well as Southeast Kansas Tourism Region Secretary. I have experience in graphic design, website design, photography, marketing and social media management, writing and publishing, and entrepreneurship - all skills I'm excited to bring with me to this position!

Helping to build the Coffey County Chamber of Commerce and work with the amazing business owners, organizations, and community members here is an incredibly exciting opportunity - I can't wait to get situated and organized and begin working with all of you very soon!
