How do I get my content featured via the Chamber?

Last Updated 8/4/2025

Our Strategy

First, I want you to know more about my Social Media Strategy:

1. Is it High Quality Content? There are several factors that lead to high quality content. They are:

High resolution photos / graphics. Does it look pixelated or blurry? Then it shouldn't be posted on your socials.

Posting high quality imagery and graphics infers that you are a high quality brand; low quality imagery and graphics can give potential followers the impression that you have low standards as an organization or company. It may not be true, but that's the message it sends.

Is the grammar and spelling correct? We all make mistakes sometimes, but it's important to check over your work once posted and make any updates necessary to ensure correct spelling, usage, and grammar - with some exceptions. If you're using unconventional grammar or spelling for a reason, it may be feasible!

Was it designed with Design Principles in mind? If you're not a designer, that's fine. I get it! If you're a member, I can help you with some designs and tutor you on using Canva. You can also learn more about basic design principles here:  https://99designs.com/blog/tips/graphic-design-basics/

2. Is it Exciting or Useful?
My goal with the Chamber's social media is to share positive news from Coffey County and highlight our local businesses and tourism attractions. I also want to the page to be useful to visitors, meaning they can find information readily.

If I were to share every single thing from Member pages, the account would become cluttered and be much less useful to our followers. Plus, if a person wants to see everything YOU post on your page, they can follow you!

I try to reserve the Chamber for select posts and news that is exciting or useful to followers.

3. Will it Perform Well?

Some content performs better than others, and that changes when the algorithm changes. BUT, there are some basics that we can go by:

• People, animals and beautiful photos of nature tend to perform well.

• If your post has a smiling person or people, especially a local person, it will perform better.

• If your post has information that people are looking for, it will perform better.

• If you are sharing something exciting, it will perform better.

• Your post has a higher chance of performing well if it is High Quality Content.

Share Things with Me!

So, how do you get your content on Chamber outlets? Share it with me! If you're having an event, PLEASE send me all of the details, fliers, photos, etc. to: [email protected]

If you have some exciting news to share, send it my way! Have a post that's performing well and you'd like us to share? Let me know!

I see things from time to time on my social media feeds, but I just DON'T have time to research every page in Coffey County and see what's going on. If there's something important, please do email me.

I'm going to give City of Gridley a gold star here, because Teresa sends me all kinds of awesome info from Gridley and posts events on our Calendar!

Members have access to post - just let me know if you've lost your invite or aren't sure what to do.

Organize a community event or "unofficially" in charge of spreading the news in your community?

Let's chat about getting you access to post events! Questions? Reach out. I'd love to hear from you! 😃
