Last Updated 12/29/2025

Hosting an event that brings in tourism? There's funding for that!

Funds from the Coffey County Transient Guest Tax Fund have been allocated by Coffey County Tourism and Visitors Board for activities as follows:

  1. Local and Regional Tourism Marketing and Promotions: Investing in targeted marketing campaigns across various platforms to promote Coffey County as a desirable destination. This includes efforts to raise awareness of our attractions, events, and unique characteristics among potential visitors within Kansas and surrounding states.
  2. Community Events Support: Providing support, which may include financial assistance, promotional resources, or logistical aid, to community events that are specifically designed to attract or have a proven track record of attracting significant visitor attendance from outside of Coffey County. These events contribute to the vibrancy of our community and serve as key drivers for tourism.
  3. Other Activities with a Direct Positive Impact on Tourism: Funding projects and initiatives that directly contribute to improving the visitor experience and increasing visitation to Coffey County. This could include, but is not limited to, supporting visitor information services, enhancing tourism-related signage or infrastructure, developing visitor materials, and other efforts clearly aimed at fostering tourism growth.

Funding request forms are available.

Coffey County Tourism and Visitors Board will review the requests as they come in. The Tourism and Visitors Board have final say on all requests.
